Welcome! The Idaho Syringa Dairy Goat Association is a Non-Profit Organization Established in 1972. It is intended that this association shall provide a network for members to share ideas, support each other and come together to do what other wise could not be done. Our course of action is to work together cooperatively and positively for common cause, and to increase the interests and knowledge of the Dairy Goat.More specifically we aspire: A. To promote Dairy Goats and Dairy Goat products. B. To educate members and the public about Dairy Goats, their care, management, problems and practices. C. To encourage breed improvement through use of quality registered bucks and does D. To sponsor and/or support Dairy Goat shows that will help members and the public become aware of and value quality Dairy Goats. E. To improve public awareness through promotional events (clinics, sales, products, fun events, good PR, Dairy Goat shows, youth and Adult showmanship classes and effective displays that provide positive messages.). F. We are dedicated to supporting the 4-H, FFA and other youth Dairy Goat programs for……OUR FUTURE.
2022 SHOW NEWS
We have been awarded the District 7 LaMancha Specialty. We will be watching for a couple of youth actively showing and assisting others to be honored with a youth award.

Both of our Specialty Association Clubs are going to be recognizing youth exhibitors. So we will be watching youth in showmanship and those returning Saturday and Sunday to either participate in showing their animals and/or assisting other exhibitors in showing their goats. There is always a need for extra helping hands so please consider coming and participating.
Shavings are what the facilities is requiring us to use now. We will provide first bedding of some shavings. Local feed stores should have inventory. We may have some left over after first bedding to sell as well. You are welcome to bring your own shavings as well. Pens are 6x6.
Saturday potluck is on!! We are thinking of crock pot dishes for folks to share. So bring your crock pot and a soup, chili, dessert, or some other creation you want to share. Can also bring rolls, corn bread, salads, etc. We will provide plates, something to eat soups in and utensils.
COVID-19 PROTOCAL Even though we are outside please keep to the social distance recommendations. Please wear a mask. The judge has to get close to feel and judge your animals. Be respectful of their health. Camping on the fairground facilities is "NOT" permitted. Fairgrounds faculty have the authority to fine anybody they observe camping and/or being hooked up to power along the barn walls. Don't hook up to power. There will be one assigned night watch which has authorization to camp on the fairgrounds. A newly renovated campground facility, Boise Riverside RV Park, can be reached at 208-375-7432 to make your camping reservations nearby.
