ISDGA SHOW RULES AND INFORMATION
These shows are sanctioned by the American Dairy Goat Association and their rules shall govern for the dairy goat breeds. The Junior and Senior Does are separately sanctioned with ADGA. The Minis are sanctioned by the Miniature Dairy Goat Association and shall follow their rules. The base date for these shows will be show date: May 24 & 25, 2008. Judging will begin at 7:30am. Original registration certificate is required for all animals over 6 months of age. A stamped duplicate or original registration certificate is acceptable for goats under 6 months of age. These certificates MUST be shown to the show committee prior to show.
No pre-show milk out is required, be fair to your does and avoid over uddering.
It is the responsibility of each exhibitor to know the requirements of transporting animals into and within the state of Idaho. Health papers are not required by our show. However, any goat showing signs of infectious conditions, signs of abscesses, or in poor health, will be refused entry. Please find the person checking goats before penning yours. Disputes will be resolved by a licensed veterinarian at the exhibitor’s expense. Please be considerate of the animals of other exhibitors.
DO NOT BRING ANY ANIMAL WITH ANY HEALTH PROBLEMS!!!!!!!!!!!

Entry fees: $6.00 per show per goat. No free sanction fillers will be allowed!! Early entry incentive: postmarked or internet dated May 16, 2008 (check website for details on internet entries): 1 to 9 goats $4.00 per goat per show, 10 or more goats $3.00 per goat per show. Payment must accompany early entry to qualify for the discounted entries. To help junior does make sanction we offer: enter 2 junior does in a ring, for that ring only, get a 3rd junior doe free.
Pen fees: $2.00 per pen. First straw is provided. Pens are 6x6, 3 adults or 6 kids is recommended. We will be charged by Expo Idaho, $5.00 for each pen that isn’t cleaned. You must clean your pens before leaving the fairgrounds!!!!!!! Don’t forget pitchforks and wheelbarrows. Club members will have some wheelbarrows available. Youth/4H members will be available to clean pens for their club fund raisers.
Check In: for a smoother, faster show; please try to check in May 23, Friday evening. You NEED to be checked in one hour before show begins. We will have to scratch your entry, if not checked in, assuming you did not arrive in time for your class. The fairgrounds will be open Friday May 23th at noon.
ALL best of breed winners must remain until after Best In Show has been chosen. Help us keep the show running smoothly by having your goat ringside during the class before your goat’s class.

Camping: overnight camping is available on the fairgrounds at On the River RV Park only. You may call them at 208 375-7432 to make your reservation early. Due to contractual obligations with the RV Park, all other camping on fairgrounds property is prohibited unless specifically authorized and registered through Expo Idaho office and show committee.
